Robert De Niro offered congratulations to Al Pacino, who’s expecting his first child with girlfriend Noor Alfallah.
“What a guy,” De Niro told People at his press junket for the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival. “Go Al, God bless him.”
De Niro and Pacino are in the same boat. De Niro, who is 79, just recently welcomed his seventh child with girlfriend Tiffany Chen in early April—a daughter named Virginia.
A rep for Pacino confirmed to the outlet that 29-year-old Alfallah is eight months pregnant, and that the two have been dating since April 2022. This will be the 83-year-old actor’s fourth child. He shares 33-year-old daughter Julie Marie with ex-girlfriend Jan Tarrant, and 22-year-old twins Anton and Olivia with ex Beverly D’Angelo. Pacino has never been married.
De Niro and Pacino have known each other for over 50 years. “I remember the meeting very clearly,” Pacino told GQ of De Niro back in 2019. “Unbelievably, I saw this guy, I thought, ‘Wow, he’s got such charisma. He wasn’t doing anything. He was just walking.’”
The pair have starred in a handful of films together, with the first being 1974’s The Godfather Part II. Later, in 1995, they both had lead roles in Heat, and then in 2008, they appeared in Righteous Murder, before 2019’s The Irishman.
De Niro has been promoting his newest film, About My Father, which released in late May. Pacino is reportedly set to appear in the thriller Assassination, based on the murder of John F. Kennedy, and perhaps Heat 2.
