Whoopi Goldberg Launches Cannabis Line Specifically Designed to Relieve Menstrual Cramps-nhung

First, if you missed Goldberg’s love letter to her vape pen back in 2014, let me start by saying it’s a must-read. She writes, “The vape pen has changed my life. No, I’m not exaggerating. In fact, her name is Sippy. Yes, she’s a she. And yes, I named her Sippy because I take tiny, little sips — sassy sips, even — from her. And with each sip comes relief — from pressure, pain, stress, discomfort.”

The affair began because Goldberg suffers from glaucoma-induced headaches, and now, according to Vanity Fair, she’s taking their relationship to the next level by starting her very own medical marijuana business with cannabis advocate and edibles maker Maya Elisabeth (appropriately named Maya & Whoopi). So it’s official! She’s an herb-preneur. But make no mistake, this line isn’t meant to get you stoned while you sit around and watch Netflix all day. It’s meant to provide relief from cramps.

She explained to Vanity Fair, “For me, I feel like if you don’t want to get high high, this is a product specifically just to get rid of discomfort,” she says. “Smoking a joint is fine, but most people can’t smoke a joint and go to work.”

The line will feature a rub, a bath soak, a body balm, liquid extracts, and I even heard rumblings about raw chocolate. And the packaging looks quite classy, if I do say so myself. The products will be available in April, and you can only get them in California (you have your nearest lawmaker to thank if it’s not legal in a state near you).
