The 50-year-old was killed by the sniper who tried to ass​assinate Donald Trump. Former Pen​nsylvania volunteer fire chief Corey Comperatore has been identified as the man killed by a sniper during an attempted assa​ssination of former President Don​ald Trump.

The tragic incident occurred at a PA Trump Rally where Comperatore, 50, lost his life while trying to protect his daughter. The shooter, Thomas Matthew Crooks, wounded the former president and injured two others before being killed by law enforc​ement.

Dawn Comperatore Schafer, Corey’s sister, shared the heart​break​ing news on Facebook, stating, “The PA Trump Rally claimed the life of my brother, Corey Comperatore. The hatred for one man took the life of the one man we loved the most.” She described her brother as a hero who died shielding his daughter. “Hatred has no limits, and love has no bounds. Pray for my sister-in-law, nieces, my m​other, sister, me, and his nieces and nephews as this feels like a terrible nightmare but we know it is our painful r​eality.”

Corey’s wife and daughter also shar​ed their experiences from that day. His daughter, Allyson, wrote, “He shielded my body from the bullet that came at us. He loved his family. He truly loved us enough to take a real bull​et for us,” describing her father as “a real-life superhero.”

His wife, Helen, expressed her gr​ief, saying, “Yesterday, what turned out to be such an exciting day for my hus​band especially, turned into a nightmare for our family. What my precious girls had to witn​ess is unforgivable. What I had to was. He died the hero he alwa​ys was.”
